The 1970s was on fire for innovation, setting the tone for what surfing would become for decades. Somewhere along the way surfers settled on the competition thruster for their main board, but as they now explore new sensations and mine the past for forgotten gems, they’re dusting off those experimental boards and rediscovering lines they’d all but forgotten about.
It was also an era when custom airbrushing made each board a unique work of art, a one-of-a-kind hot rod for the ocean. With this series the Carver Team are introducing a clear sugarcoat grip, showcasing airbrushed art for a full colour experience under your feet.
The shortboard revolution truly heated up with the introduction of the swallow tail, increasing manoeuvrability and opening up new lines on the wave. The Emerald Peak is a snappy little board that’s as quick with the cutback as it is fast down the line!
