Cult Chronical 65mm 78a longboard slide wheels

The Chronical. 

We talk a lot about buying a wheel for what it was designed for. This wheel was designed to go sideways and be a lot of fun. The urethane is Cult's Neurothane. It is very slidey but this wheel is poured in 78a, so it is not just slippery. It slides in the road, not just on it, so you get that beautiful buttery slide everyone talks about as the ultimate. It also is a very progressive slide. What we mean by that is it does not grip, grip and then suddenly slide. It has this progressive grip to slide which is very predictable. This helps with learning different slides and with new beginners because you can feel when the wheel is going into a slide and it makes the whole progress safer and predictable.

The real feature of this wheel is the shape, and part of the genius of it's design. Unlike most small to medium slide wheels, it has a beveled edge. It is half way between a sharp edge and a round edge. The wheel will wear consistently and stay in the same shape. Combined with the centreset bearing, the wheel can be flipped at anytime, but most of the time that is unnecessary. The wheel will wear evenly all the way down to the bottom bevel. The beveled shape and the softer formula (78a) give the wheel is buttery slide. It also makes it the perfect learn to slide wheel. It is not too big and no matter how you treat it, it will look after you all the way to the core.

This wheel suits any deck 30 inch to 38 inch long.
